My name is Debbie Hicks and I am the Creator of Cuteness behind Too Cute Embroidery. I live in Sacramento, California, where I've lived all my life. I have been married for 25 years and have two amazing children, Sarah, 26, and Christopher, 24.

I spend my free time with them and my beautiful 6-year-old niece, Katrina, who I surrogate gramma since my mom's not here anymore. She loves cuteness too. She is already sewin', stampin', paintin' and very creative. She has her own sewing space and "needs" everything I have. We have great fun together.
I have enjoyed creative hobbies for several years now. I am a quilter, paper crafter/stamper, overall crafter. When my friends began getting embroidery machines, I was intrigued and ended up purchasing a friend's Bernina 180E when she upgraded to a newer machine. A few months later when testing for another digitizer, I enjoyed watching designs stitch out and thought I would like to give digitizing a try. I manually punch all of my designs using Embird Studio software. Quality and beautiful results are very important to me. I want people to be thrilled with their creations and strive to create the most wonderful designs I can - from the perspective of an embroiderer - minimizing jump stitches, thread changes, etc. I tell my friends "I'm all about the fun & cuteness" and I think it shows in my designs. It gives me a thrill to take a flat image and turn it into a beautiful stitched design and bring them to life - I 'oooh' and 'aaah' over every picture of design test stitching. They're like my babies going out into the world.
I also am working to help others enjoy machine embroidery and digitizing by offering lessons and instructional videos. I look forward to offering several in the next year.
I think hobbies and creative time are very important for us to keep a healthy balance in this very busy and often stressful world and feed our souls.
I look forward to bringing many more designs to you for your stitching pleasure. I would love to see pictures of what you've used my designs for and would invite you to send me photos to post. I always love seeing what others are making.
Happy Stitching Everyone!
